Speech and Language Therapist
Brinsa received her bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language pathology with the Highest Honors from Kannur University, India in 2007. She has extensive clinical and school experience, including several years in UAE. She has experience in the evaluation and management of children and adults with speech and communication difficulties and disorders.
She possesses both the knowledge and the passion to support children with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), childhood apraxia of Speech, neurological disorders, learning disability, cerebral palsy, down Syndrome, delayed language development, articulation and phonological disorders, global developmental delay, hearing impairment, cleft lip and palate, and fluency disorders including stuttering and cluttering.
She has completed a training on K- SLP (The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol). She is experienced in implementing AACs (Augmentative- Alternative Communication) for children with limited communicative abilities such as Low tech AAC (PECS, Communication folders) and High tech AAC (Proloquo2go, Voice Output Communication Aids, switches), Makaton signs, Intensive Interaction, Attention Autism, Colorful Semantics, Oral Placement Therapy, AVT (Auditory Verbal Therapy), Lego therapy, Symbols, Virtual Therapy and Group Therapy.
She believes in creating individualized treatment plan for every child through a multidisciplinary approach by developing solid relationships with children and families.
