Early Intervention Program

The Early Intervention Program is an early intensive class-based program provided to children from 2 – 6 years. Each classroom is designed to provide services for up to five students with diagnoses of developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental disorders. The program aims to provide effective treatment from a very young age, to unlock the children’s potential, build more independence and prepare them to join mainstream schools.

Stars Early Intervention Program includes:

  • Early intervention free screening to evaluate the child followed by the parents intake/meeting.
  • Morning structured classroom setting from Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm.
  • Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) addressing the distinct needs and concerns of every student.
  • Two individual therapy sessions per week depending on the unique needs of each child.
  • Individualized Therapy Plan (ITP) tailored to each child based on the therapy sessions.
  • Group therapy sessions are conducted every week inside the classroom by one of the therapists.
  • One-on-one individual time and attention is devoted to every student by the special educator within the classroom.
  • Self-help / self-care programs for each student (e.g. toilet training, food intake program, etc.)
  • IEP progress meetings are conducted every 2 months with the parents to update on the child’s progress.
  • Regular update and communication with the parents about the daily activities through the application “Seesaw”.

We provide a school setting experience for young students to build a structured routine through various approaches such as:

  • Social group time
  • Basic life skills
  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Sensory development
  • Academic skills
  • Language and communication skills
  • Social play skills

As we believe in the pivotal role that parents play in their child’s development, we prioritize keeping them regularly involved and updated about the child’s progress.
